    Skin Benefits

    • Cacao butter is well known for its ability to boost elasticity, reduce scarring and deeply moisturize. It’s been used on many pregnant bellies for just these benefits!
    • Shea butter soothes skin irritations and inflammation and makes the skin more resilient by supporting a healthy skin barrier
    • Green Tea seed oil (Camellia) is rich in Omega 9 a deeply moisturizing fatty acid but it also contains tannins which give it a quick absorbing ‘dry’ finish. It is antioxidant rich from polyphenols that help the skin resist oxidative damage
    • Candelilla Wax is a vegan wax derived from desert-dwelling candelilla shrub. A waxy coating on its leaves prevents it from losing essential moisture from evaporation in harsh, dry conditions. This protective ingredient provides the same moisture-trapping function for skin, forming a thin occlusive layer that prevents moisture from being lost through evaporation (trans epidermal water loss or TEWL)

    The Ritual

    For best results, apply to the body after toweling off from a bath or shower. This product will trap moisture in the skin, providing hydration and moisturization. For extremely dry, flaky skin the following layering routine offers maximum results:

    • Use a gentle exfoliating mitt, scrub or loofah soap to remove surface dead skin in the bath or shower (this will allow product to better penetrate deeper into the skin)
    • Apply a lightweight body lotion and allow it to absorb for 2-3 minutes
    • Then scoop out body butter, melt between the palms and apply a thin layer on top of lotion

    Apply your whipped body butter daily and try the above routine 1-2 times a week to help maintain optimal skin hydration and moisturization throughout dry winter conditions

    How To Use It:

    1. After a bath or shower, when skin is damp but not wet, scoop out a small amount of body butter using clean, dry fingers
    2. Warm between palms to melt and then apply to the body in gentle circular motions
    3. Apply a thin layer on the body and more liberally on any problem areas (feet, elbows, hands, etc)
    For extremely dry skin, start with one of our hydrating body lotions, let sit for 2-3 minutes and then lock in moisture with body butter
